By Bicycle

Traffic is light, and an early morning ride through Central Park is a treat. If you arrive via the Central Park loop, please ride all the way down the hill to the Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. Boulevard exit and then enter the registration lane. There will be signs to direct you. For cycling maps, visit www.transalt.org/map.

All routes begin from the same starting point--inside Central Park at 110th Street and Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. Boulevard.

By Subway

Thanks to T.A.'s advocacy, bicycles are allowed on the subway, no permit required, 24 hours a day (see our Bikes Aboard section for more details). Take the A, C, D, 1 or 9 to or near 59th Street/Columbus Circle and ride through the Park to the Start. Or, take the 2 or 3 to 110th Street/Central Park North and ride 1 block west; or take the 6 to 110th Street and Lexington and ride five blocks west. [A New York City Subway Map is available here].
